For those interested in becoming Catholic, existing Catholics wanting to come home to the Catholic Church, those adults needing to receive Confirmation, or Catholics just wanting to learn more about the Catholic Church, RCIA is a
Journey of Faith and Knowledge designed to meet those needs.
Classes usually begin in late August or early September each year and end at the beginning of Lent (late February or early March).
We cover the basics of Church History, Morality, the Sacraments and Prayer.
We meet
on Thursday evenings at St. John at
7 pm till about
8:30 in a relaxed setting with a free exchange of questions and answers combined with specific teaching on Catholic beliefs and practices. Arrangements can be made to accommodate those whose schedule conflicts with the regular meeting time.
There is no cost and no obligation to join the Catholic Church. The sacraments of initiation including baptism, confirmation and first Eucharist are celebrated at the Easter Vigil.
There is no preregistration, just show up ready to grow in faith!
