Officially chartered in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights charter was formed to render financial aid and other support services to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled, and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public relief works.
 
The Knights of Columbus has become the world’s foremost Catholic fraternal benefit society. The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs, and has contributed time and energy worldwide to service in communities.
 
The Knights of Columbus council at St. John the Baptist is growing to meet the needs of our parish and is open to all men 18 years of age or older who are practicing Catholics.

Meetings are typically held monthly on the FIRST Wednesday of the month. Meetings are usually held in the Parish Hall at St. John the Baptist. Knights will recite a rosary before at least one mass per month and receive corporal Communion.
