Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities is a diocesan ministry that provides essential social service programs. Friendly, compassionate voices answer phones and/or assist with general administrative matters. Patient, caring individuals assist client families in completing paperwork and the follow-up required for important support services that help families work toward self-sufficiency. Individuals offer periodic transportation for clients to attend important medical and work-related appointments. Catholic Charities also provides temporary, welcoming homes for children awaiting adoption.

Hospice Services
Usually a family member serves as the primary caregiver for a terminally ill individual. Hospice staff can help by making regular visits to assess the patient and provide additional care by developing a care plan that meets the patient’s individual needs. Marriage Encounter
The emphasis of the Marriage Encounter weekend is on the communication between husband and wife. The weekend provides a conducive environment for couples to spend time together, away from the distractions and tensions of everyday life, while encouraging them to focus on each other and their relationship. It’s not a retreat, marriage clinic, group sensitivity, or a substitute for counseling. The Society of St. Vincent de PaulThe Society of St. Vincent de Paul actively strives to understand and fulfill the needs of the poor within Baton Rouge and the surrounding community. They are available to aid the most vulnerable members of our community to reach out to those in need. They provide hot meals to those who would otherwise go hungry, warm beds to those would have no place to sleep, medications to those who could not afford them on their own, and the mandatory uniforms that children need to attend school.
