In December of 2013, our son was in a very bad motorcycle accident and in a coma for three days.
On the third day, we decided to call Sister Dulce. She told us she would stay up and pray before the Eucharist all night long.
As she prayed before the Eucharist throughout the night, our son suddenly came out of his coma. It was very clear that the Holy Spirit was at work by the fact that she knew when he woke up.

About 3 years ago, I went to 4:30 pm Saturday mass. When it was time for communion, I went and received the sacred body of Jesus. As I turned to go to my seat, I raised the host to consume it. At that time, I saw that the host had turned blood red in the center. I should have stopped and shown it to Fr., but instead I consumed it. I had the most wonderful feeling in my heart.
The eucharist strengthens my faith and belief in the risen Christ. When I'm before the eucharist at communion or at adoration, I feel His presence. Sometimes, I feel unbelievable peace and joy. I love going to mass because of the experience of spiritually re-living the last supper. The peace, hope and love that you feel in adoration is sometimes gentle, peaceful comfort. Sometimes, an almost explosive joy.

The call of Jesus through the Eucharist brought me home to the Church.
I wandered for many years and was married outside of the Church. We baptized our children in the Church but it wasn’t until my oldest child was about to receive his first Communion that I realized I needed to be able to receive it with him. We started the process of annulment of a previous marriage and convalidation and I was able to receive the Eucharist with him.
After that I was led to Emmaus Road where I found out about the Bible In a Year, which led me to the Catechism in a Year and an absolute flood of God’s grace in my life. It’s not easy! But I could never wander away again.
God knows that I’m a stubborn mule and I had to think it was all my idea to come back, but I can see now that He saw a crack in my pride when I was imagining my child receiving the Eucharist without me, and He worked his way in.It may not be easy to be Catholic right now, but there are so many modern resources to educate ourselves and shore up our faith, like Ascension Press, Word on Fire, and Dynamic Catholic (and so many others). While I sometimes feel a sense of urgency when I consider the state of the world, I also have faith and hope when I remember the long process it took to bring me home.
God’s timing is perfect, we just have to cooperate!
