Chapter Two

Meeting dates and times will be  announced in the church bulletin and by mail to those who express an interest in participating.  Most of the meetings will be "Dutch Treat" luncheons.  Meetings are held  monthly from September to May. 

Our Faith, our friends and family sustain us.

The purpose of this ministry is to support widows. This support is provided through fellowship,
information such as grieving process, healthy living, spiritual resources, the business responsibilities when a spouse dies, etc. and other information as requested or needed.

It would provide an opportunity to discuss issues that all face when losing a spouse.

Meetings will be at least six times a year with carefully chosen speakers and at other times are social events. Fellowship with other women going through the same process is a balm to the soul. Knowing that you are not alone in your new life is a great comfort. All the meetings are during the day during the week.

This group will provide a “safe” place to discuss issues of loss and grief. Members would support each other with prayer and fellowship.

The group is not a service organization. The patron saint of the group is St. Elizabeth Ann Seton who is the Patroness of Grief. We ask her guidance in all our endeavors to support one another.
